Health, life, and happiness are the result of obedience to the physical laws that govern our bodies. If we cooperate with God in that work, the sure results are health and happiness, peace, and usefulness. (2Mind, Character, and Personality p, 291.3) Understanding the physical laws that govern the body and harmonizing with these laws in our life practices is a duty of paramount importance. It is necessary to understand the many factors that contribute to true happiness: a joyful home, obedience to the laws of life, and proper relationships with our fellow beings. (Ministry of Healing p, 7.3)
There is a close relationship between the mind and the body, and to achieve a high level of moral and intellectual virtue, we must obey the laws that govern our physical being. To achieve a strong and well-balanced character, our forces, both mental and physical, must be exercised and developed. (God Guards Us p, 323.6) It is the duty of every person, for their own good and that of humanity, to know the laws of health and to obey them with full awareness. Everyone needs to know the most wonderful organism: the human body. They should study the influence of the mind on the body, the influence of the body on the mind, and the laws that govern them. (The Ministry of Healing, 89, 90)
The home is the heart of society, the church, and the nation. The well-being of society, the success of the church, and the prosperity of the nation depend on the influence of the home. (The Ministry of Healing, 269) The closer the members of a family are united in what they have to do at home, the more uplifting and helpful the influence of the father, mother, children, and daughters will be outside the home. (The Christian Home, 31)
Where there is spiritual health, there is growth... There is no limit to its improvement! Spiritual health depends on the nourishment given to the mind and the air breathed. (Lift Your Eyes, p. 172.2) Exercise is essential for growing in grace. When one exercises in the spiritual things to which one is spiritually ill, a transformation of character occurs. The health of the spiritual life depends on exercise. But spirituality cannot grow while the heart is filled with the corrupting sores of selfishness. (Lift Your Eyes, p. 172.5)
“We should work the soil in cheerful, hopeful, and grateful fashion; believing that the earth holds within its bosom rich provisions for the faithful worker, more precious provisions than gold or silver. The meanness attributed to it is a false testimony. Through proper and intelligent cultivation, the earth will yield its treasures for the benefit of humanity. The mountains and hills are changing; the soil is aging like clothing; but the blessing of the God who prepared a table for his people in the desert will never cease.”

At VICAMSA, we believe that true health is a state of complete physical, mental, social, and spiritual well-being, and not merely the absence of afflictions or illnesses.
