Ecological Huerta: A Living Classroom
In the life of every human being, knowledge and development of language are indispensable for expressing thoughts and emotions. Likewise, in order to understand and communicate the goodness of God to others, the vast field of nature opens up before us. In it, the wonderful emergence and development of life reveals the majestic divine purpose for every human being. That is why a simple “ABC” of cultivating the land will enable us to express in experimental language the precious gift of physical, mental, social, and spiritual life.
How to work the land
“We should work the soil in cheerful, hopeful, and grateful fashion; believing that the earth holds within its bosom rich provisions for the faithful worker, more precious provisions than gold or silver. The meanness attributed to it is a false testimony. Through proper and intelligent cultivation, the earth will yield its treasures for the benefit of humanity. The mountains and hills are changing; the soil is aging like clothing; but the blessing of the God who prepared a table for his people in the desert will never cease.”
